Admittedly, that was pretty crazy; after all, we were also planning to launch a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in spring 2022. But Ines and Alex were not to be dissuaded and their ambition was rewarded, because our application was accepted!On 09/19/2022, the time had come and Flasher was on TV. The pitch from the founding duo was a huge hit, because after their presentation, the lions were interested. Not one, not two, but all five lions wanted to work with us. Now it was up to them to convince Ines and Alex why they would be the right partner to take Flasher forward.In the end, Alex and Ines chose a brilliant duet of Ralf Dümmel and Carsten Maschmeyer, who convinced the founders with their product, marketing and sales expertise. They provided and continue to provide this to Flasher, in addition to € 150,000 cash.

After a long preparation phase, we went live with Flasher on the crowdfunding platform www.kickstarter.com on 03/05/2022. The rush was huge and so we were able to reach our funding goal in under 24 hours. Shortly after, we received the "Project We Love" award from Kickstarter. This is awarded by the Kickstarter team to only a few hand-picked projects to "highlight particularly brilliant examples of creativity," in their words. The feedback from the crowd was great and we were able to attract backers from all over the world. In total, we were able to raise almost 38,000€ during our 30-day campaign. This means we exceeded our funding goal by almost 100%. The expected delivery date of the pre-ordered products is fixed for November this year.

Flasher started out with the realization that e-scooters need some way to safely indicate a turn. What was a mere idea in summer of 2019 quickly grew into a concrete concept, which was promptly recognized and incubated by the high tech incubator “Science Park” in Graz, Austria. The concept became a prototype, thanks in part to aid from aws Creative Impact “Prototype” funding. The team grew from the two co-founders to three, then four and five members and moved into the office. We are live on Kickstarter right now! This will be a stepping(mile)stone into new markets, new products and new challenges.
