We always ship your order in the safest and fastest way. The shipment is carried out by GLS, DHL or POST directly from Austria.

Why have I not received an order confirmation?

Immediately after you've placed your order you will receive a confirmation email. If you have not received this email, please check your spam folder. Sometimes it will be accidentally classified as spam.

If you can't find the email in your spam folder, your email address might have been incorrect or the order may be stuck in our system. In both cases please contact us by e-mail to support@flasher.tech stating your order number.

Yes, you can return the Flasher set you've received without giving reasons within the cancellation period or revoke your contract. Please use this form to request the return slip for the return.

Where is my order?

As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive an email with a link to track your order. Using the link you can check the status of your shipment at any time.

When will I receive my refund?

Your refund will be issued 3-5 business days after the return is received in our warehouse.

What's in the box

Is it possible to buy just one wearable?

At the moment you can only buy a set of two armbands. If you’d like us to offer a single Flasher armband for sale in the future, send us an email at info@flasher.tech and we’ll let you know when the option becomes available.

Why is a Y-USB-cable included? What about the power adapter?

The Y-splitter cable, which is included in the set, allows you to charge both wearables at once, saving you time! As part of our efforts to reach our environmental goals, Flasher does not include a power adapter. The cable is, however, compatible with conventional USB‑A power adapters and USB-A computer ports.

Is there a case or protective cover for Flasher?

Our development team is constantly working on new, cool product ideas and add-ons. At the moment, we do not offer an additional case or protective cover for Flasher. If you would be interested in this kind of thing or any other add-on in the future, let us know at info@flasher.tech.

Are the wearables water resistant? What happens if I get caught in the rain with Flasher?

Flasher is water resistant and can therefore be used on rainy days. In fact, that is when roads are slippery and visibility is bad! However, they are not waterproof so do not submerge the wearables under water or any other liquid. We still have to figure out a version for diving 😁 In case your wearables get wet, dry them with a clean cloth. Do not charge the wearables when they are wet to avoid damages.

Are there different wearable sizes?

No, Flasher only comes in one size. BUT: Thanks to our innovative closing mechanism the armbands fit almost all adult arms nonetheless. That way you can wear Flasher over a jacket just as well as on your bare arm. Find out more about what arm sizes Flasher fits on under the section 'Closing Mechanism'.

In addition, we've been thinking on making a version for kids. Let us know whether that is something you would find useful at info@flasher.tech.

What is the weight of one armband?

One wearable weighs approximately 145 g (5.1 ounces).

What are the dimensions of one armband?

A closed wearable has an outer diameter of 95 mm (3.7 inches) at the largest point and a max. height of 50 mm (2 inches) – the perfect size for optimal visibility without limiting usability.

Are the armbands skin-friendly?

We’ve put a great deal of care into selecting the right materials for Flasher. We only use high-quality, skin-friendly, robust materials. That being said, a small number of people can still experience reactions to certain materials, either due to allergies, environmental factors, extended exposure to potential irritants like soap, sweat, sunscreen, or lotions, and other such causes. If you experience redness, swelling, itchiness, or any other irritation, please consult your physician before putting your Flasher armbands back on.

How do I clean my Flasher devices?

To clean your Flasher, use a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not submerge the devices in water or any other liquid.

How can I store the armbands when they are not being used?

The two armbands can be compactly wrapped around each other in what we call “the Pretzel”. To get to this, open one wing on each device and close the other wing. Then you place to closed wings into each other, with the open wing pointing in opposite directions. Lastly, close the open wings around the bridge of the respective other wearable. In this case, a picture says more than a thousand words. Check out a picture of the Pretzel below. Once they’re looped, you can put them in your pocket, purse, backpack, carrier bag, knapsack…or you loop them around your handlebar, handbag strap, belt. Maybe we should come up with a holster? 🤔

Closing mechanism

What arm sizes are supported?

Flasher supports arm circumferences between 210-380 mm (8.3-15 inches). This should cover anyone from petite to super buff.

How do I put the armbands on?

Here's how it's done: Take one wearable and open it by straightening its wings one at a time. There is a pressure point at the end of each wing. If you hold it there, the wing will stay straight by itself once you uncurl it completely. Next, bring your elbow in front of your body. Place the armband on your arm, directly above your elbow. This is done easiest by holding the opened armband above the bridge with the other hand, stretching your thumb along one wing, your other fingers along the other. If you now press the wings – either both at the same time or one after the other – they will curl around your arm.

How do I get the wearables off the arms?

The quickest way to do so is to grab the bridge in the middle with one hand and simply pulling it gently from your arm. Alternatively, you can open the wearable by unrolling the wings, just like when you put it on. Check out this video to see how it's done the 'cool' way.

Do the armbands slip?

The armbands do not slip. We use a high-quality, anti-slip silicon material for the flexible parts of the armband. What can happen, though only with thick down jackets, is that the sleeve of the jacket will move slightly around your arm. That will make it feel as if the wearable were moving. Even then you don’t have to worry, the wearable will still hold on tight.

Are the armbands in the way when riding or running?

Flasher's unique closing mechanism will make sure the armbands fit snugly around your arms when you're moving. In addition, they armbands won't bother you during your cycling, cruising or jogging sessions thanks to their light weight.

Can it happen that Flasher falls off the arms by itself and you lose the wearables without noticing it?

Once you correctly attached your wearables directly above your elbow you can start your ride without worrying about loosing them. Flasher’s unique enclosing mechanism adapts to your arm size. Even if the wings of the enclosure do not cover your whole arm, their closure strength is sufficient for most arm sizes.

I have difficulty putting the wearables on. Are they broken?

Charging

How should I charge the battery of Flasher?

The wearable has a USB-C port and can be charged with any USB-C to USB-A cable. We provide a Y-splitter cable with every Flasher set, so you can easily charge both devices at the same time with the same cable. Charge the devices at 5-5.1V; 2.0-2.4A; 10-12W.

What battery life can I expect?

Each Flasher armband is powered by a rechargeable battery. With a single charge you can expect the following operating times:

Day Mode: 15-19 hours (30 minutes of charging provides 7-9 hours)
Night Mode: 7-9 hours (30 minutes of charging provides 3-4 hours)
Jogging Mode: around 4 hours
Emergency Mode: around 4 hours

Is it possible to charge both Flasher armbands at the same time?

Absolutely! Just use the Y-splitter cable we sent you with your set and an external power supply unit that meets our specifications to charge both armbands at the same time.

How long does it take to fully charge a device?

When you start from 0%, the armbands are fully charged in around 2 hours and 45 minutes. These results were achieved when both armbands were charged at the same time using the included Y-splitter cable and any additional USB-A power supply (5V, 12W).

How do I know if my devices are charging correctly?

When you connect Flasher to a power outlet it will light up for a short amount of time. If you press the button, while the devices are connected to a power outlet, they will light up, showing you how much they are charged. Once they are fully charged, the light becomes white.

How can I tell if a wearable's battery is about to run out and needs to be recharged?

When the battery is about to run out, Flasher will warn you with short static LEDs when you turn the device on. In case you are in the middle of a ride, Flasher will warn you and let you know that it must be recharged with repeated haptic feedback.

How do I know when a device is fully charged?

When your device is connected to power and is fully charged, the LEDs on top emit a static, white light.

What type of power supply can I use to charge Flasher with the supplied cable?

Regarding power supply, please use a device with USB-A power socket with the following specification for an optimal charging experience:

V: 5.0 - 5.1
A: 2.0 - 2.4 (value can be lower, but in this case it takes longer to charge Flasher)
W: 10 - 12 (value can be lower, but in this case it takes longer to charge Flasher)

Can you also charge other devices with the Flasher USB cable?

Yes, you can use the cable also for charging two other devices, as long as they have similar power specifications as Flasher.

Usability

How do I know that the turn signal is on and working correctly?

Whenever you do the activation gesture with Flasher on your arm, it will start blinking. At the same time it will also begin to vibrate, telling you that turn signal is on. The vibration will continue as long as the turn signal is on.

How long does it take to get used to the turn signal movement?

We conducted tons of interviews and pilot phases to find the answer to this question. Generally speaking, just trying the devices on and practicing the turn signal movement a few times – either while holding on to the handlebar of a vehicle or during a short test drive – is enough to get the hang of the elbow movement. How to I switch between the different modes?

To switch between modes, briefly press the button in the middle of the bridge. While both wearables are connected to each other, switching the mode on one armband will also switch the mode of the other.

What vehicles can I use Flasher on?

This is one of the best things about Flasher: just hop onto whatever vehicle you are feeling like (e-scooter, bicycle, e-bike, Segway, hover board, mono wheel – you name it!), put on Flasher for enhanced visibility and enjoy your ride. For a better understanding, we’ve collected a few use case examples for you here.

Do I have to attach Flasher to the vehicle before using it?

Nope, Flashes gets attached to you, the rider, instead! Just snap a wearable around each arm, directly above your elbow, turn them both on and enjoy your ride, walk, or jogging session!

Can my Flasher set accidentally pair with others?

Two Flasher devices are only connected – or friends – while they are turned on and close enough together. Otherwise, their link is closed, enabling flexibility when sharing multiple Flasher devices. This way, you don’t have to look for the two “matching” devices, any two work perfectly with each other. Flasher does everything for you! Your wearable connecting to another one you don’t want it to connect to can only really happen when more than two devices are turned on at the same time and all of them are relatively close together. In such a case you can either turn your armbands off and back on again or just move further away; in both cases, the connection is removed and Flasher will start searching for a new friend. Chances are that this time, the two wearables that you want will become friends ;-) You will know they have become friends by them vibrating briefly as soon as they connect.

What devices does a Flasher wearable connect to and do I need to do anything to enable it?

When you turn on two wearables and they are relatively close together, they will automatically connect to each other and become what we call ‘friends’. This usually takes around 5-10 seconds. No worries, you can still use each of your wearables independently before they connect. When they become friends, the devices will vibrate once to let you know about it. Should they disconnect, the armbands automatically start searching for a short period again. When you restart the device, it also restarts the search for a friend.

Do the devices connect to each other?

Yes, the two armbands will wirelessly connect to each other when turned on. This makes using them much more convenient for you: while connected, both armbands switch modes or turn off in sync, even when you only press the button in the middle of the bridge on a single one. Like magic!

Why does Flasher vibrate at all? Can you feel the vibration even if you have a jacket on?

The short answer is ‘haptic feedback’. Flasher will vibrate one when you turn it on and when you switch modes, twice when you turn it off. On top, it vibrates everytime it blinks and when the brakelight is triggered, so you know exactly what is happening and that everything is working. The vibration motors we used are strong enough, so you can even get this haptic feedback through a thick down jacket.

Do I have to pay attention to how I put the wearables on (left/right/top/bottom)?

The wearables automatically adapt to which arm you have put them on and which direction they are facing while you are using the device. This way, you don’t have to worry about left/right or up/down, Flasher automatically calibrates the lights to be the right way around and you only have to make sure you put Flasher on correctly (see this for info on that).

How do I know that I turned on a wearable?

If you press the button in the middle oft he bridge for 2 seconds, the wearable will vibrate to tell you that it was turned on

Do the wearables turn off by themselves when they are no longer used?

We implemented an auto-turnoff function, which turns off the armbands when they lies completely still and are no longer used for a while. This helps you to save battery life in case you forget to turn off Flasher yourself.

How do I turn the wearables off?

To turn Flasher off, firmly press the button in the middle of the bridge for two seconds. After the wearable vibrates twice, it is turned off. While both wearables are connected to each other, turning off one armband will automatically also turn off the other one - convenient!
