Who we are
OUR VISION
Micromobility plays an essential role in the transport of the future. However, to be a useful option, micromobility must be safe. This is exactly where Flasher comes in: our vision is to make everyone who is ready to start a more sustainable future safer on the road.

TELEVISION APPEARANCE
Light - Camera - Flashing!
In spring 2022 we applied for an appearance on the VOX start-up show “The Lions’ Den”. Admittedly, that was pretty crazy, after all, we also planned to start a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in spring 2022. But Ines and Alex couldn't be dissuaded and their ambition was rewarded because the application was accepted! On September 19, 2022, Flasher was on television. The founding duo's pitch was a huge hit because the lions were interested after the presentation. Not one, not two. All five lions wanted to work with us. Now it was up to them to convince Ines and Alex why they were the right partner to bring Flasher forward. Ultimately, Alex and Ines decided on a brilliant duet of Ralf Dümmel and Carsten Maschmeyer, who were able to convince the founders with their product, marketing and sales expertise. They provided and are providing this to Flasher, in addition to € 150,000 in cash.

CROWDFUNDING
Our Kickstarter campaign
After a long preparation phase, we launched our crowdfunding campaign for Flasher on the Kickstarter.com platform on May 3rd, 2022. The rush was huge and we were able to reach our funding goal in under 24 hours. Shortly after, we received the “Project We Love” award from Kickstarter. This is awarded by the Kickstarter team to only a few hand-picked projects to “highlight particularly brilliant examples of creativity,” in their words. The feedback from the crowd was great and we were able to attract backers from all over the world. In total, we were able to raise almost €38,000 during our 30-day campaign. We have therefore exceeded our funding goal by almost 100%. Click here for the campaign.
OUR STORY
Once Upon a time...
Flasher started with the realization that e-scooters needed a way to safely indicate a turn. What was a mere idea in the summer of 2019 quickly grew into a concrete concept that was promptly recognized and promoted by the high-tech incubator "Science Park Graz" in Graz, Austria. The concept became a prototype, also thanks to the support of the aws Creative Impact “Prototype” funding. The team grew from the founding duo to three, then four and moved into their first office. Flasher has now taken off on Kickstarter and is racing towards new markets, new products and new challenges.
